Key Responsibilities

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications
  • A valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in New York.
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated training or experience in addiction counseling is preferred.
  • Strong understanding and application of evidence-based practices for substance abuse and co-occurring disorders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the capability to build rapport and motivate clients.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience in a community health setting or similar environment focused on mental health care.
  • Experience in therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or Family Systems Therapy.
