Role Overview
Zentro is seeking a Director of PMO to lead and formalize enterprise-wide project execution across a rapidly evolving, acquisition-driven organization. This role will own the structure, governance, and delivery of cross-functional initiatives spanning technology, operations, finance, and customer experience.
The Director of PMO will be accountable for driving operational project discipline and well as periodic acquisition integrations, ensuring alignment across departments and translating strategic priorities into executable, measurable outcomes. This is a highly visible role requiring strong operational rigor, stakeholder management, budget ownership and the ability to bring order to ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.Why This Role Matters

Success in this role will directly impact the company's ability to integrate new businesses, scale efficiently, and execute on strategic priorities without losing momentum in day-to-day operations.
This role is foundational to building a more disciplined, scalable, and aligned organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: PMO Leadership & Governance
  • Establish and lead a centralized PMO function, including frameworks, tools, and standards for project intake, prioritization, execution, and reporting.
  • Define and enforce project governance, including stage gates, documentation standards, risk management, and escalation protocols.
  • Build and maintain a portfolio view of all active initiatives, aligned to executive priorities and resource capacity.
Cross-Functional Project Execution (BAU)
  • Drive execution of internal, interdepartmental projects across IT, Network Operations, Customer Experience, Sales, Finance, and HR.
  • Partner with department leaders to define project scope, timelines, dependencies, and success metrics.
  • Identify and resolve cross-functional bottlenecks, ensuring accountability and forward momentum.
  • Standardize how "everyday" projects are defined, tracked, and delivered across the organization.Develop and manage integrated program plans and timelines
  • Track progress, identify risks, and drive issue resolution
Acquisition Integration & Strategic Initiatives
  • Lead project management for acquisitions, including integration planning and execution across systems, people, and processes.
  • Coordinate integration workstreams (e.g., systems consolidation, network integration, payroll/HRIS alignment, customer migration, vendor rationalization).
  • Ensure tight coordination between technical and operational teams during integration phases.
Manages vendor relationships as needed to support program objectives, coordinate deliverables, and resolve issues. Tools, Process & Continuous Improvement
  • Evaluate and implement PM tools and systems to support visibility, collaboration, and reporting.
  • Continuously refine PMO processes to improve efficiency, scalability, and transparency.
  • Drive a culture of disciplined execution without introducing unnecessary bureaucracy.
Team Leadership
  • Work with our Operations team to help develop our internal project managers and construction project coordinators.
  • Provide guidance and oversight to ensure consistent execution quality across all projects.
Qualifications
  • 8-12+ years of project/program management experience, including leadership of cross-functional initiatives.
  • Proven experience building or leading a PMO in a high-growth or transformation environment.
  • Direct experience managing M&A integrations (strongly preferred).
  • Experience in telecom, infrastructure, or similarly complex operational environments is a plus.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in ambiguity and bring structure to loosely defined problems.
  • Deep understanding of project management methodologies (i.e. Scrum, Agile), with a pragmatic approach to application.
  • Experience with PM tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Asana, Monday, Jira, or similar).
  • PMP certification preferred
  • Experience managing multiple related projects simultaneously and within budget
Compensation
  • $100,000-$140,000 base salary plus target annual bonus opportunity of 10%
  • Health, Dental, and Vision benefits; paid vacation, sick leave, and holidays; and more great perks.
Schedule
  • This is a remote work position, but preferred in one of our core markets of: Atlanta, Chicago, Cleveland, Denver, Detroit, Houston, or Los Angeles
  • 20% travel will be required
