Job description

Directive Consulting is the leading B2B performance marketing agency that delivers real revenue—not just leads.

We use Customer Generation (a marketing methodology developed by us) to cut through the noise. Forget MQLs—we’re here to drive pipeline, fuel SQLs, and scale brands that are serious about growth. From Paid Media and SEO to CRO, RevOps, and Go-To-Market Strategy, we build marketing engines that win in SaaS and across B2B industries.

We move fast. We think boldly. We are elite. We hire people who challenge the status quo and push campaigns past what’s expected - sparking demand for bold, innovative brands. If you live for performance, love solving hard problems, and want your work to actually mean something, you’ll fit right in.

But here’s the fun part—we don’t just deliver results; we’re shaping the future of marketing. Ready to build something that breaks the mold?
*Internally this role is titled Associate Director, Revenue Operations*
About The Role:

We’re looking for an Associate Director, Revenue Operations to help lead and scale Directive’s Revenue Operations practice. This is a senior, client-facing player-coach role for someone who combines strong people leadership with deep technical expertise across Salesforce, marketing automation, and HubSpot.

You’ll partner closely with the Director of Revenue Operations to lead a team of RevOps Strategists, oversee complex client engagements, and ensure we consistently deliver high-quality strategic and technical work. You’ll also remain hands-on, stepping into client environments to guide architecture, troubleshoot complex issues, conduct audits, and support implementations when deeper expertise is required.

The right person is equally comfortable leading a team, presenting recommendations to senior client stakeholders, and getting into the details of a Salesforce or marketing automation environment.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage and mentor a team of Revenue Operations Solution Engineers, including workload management, prioritization, coaching, and performance support.

  • Serve as an escalation point for complex client and technical challenges.

  • Own or oversee strategic client relationships, ensuring strong communication, delivery quality, and client satisfaction.

  • Lead and support Salesforce, HubSpot, and marketing automation audits, implementations, integrations, and optimization projects.

  • Provide hands-on expertise across Salesforce Sales Cloud, Salesforce Account Engagement/Pardot, and HubSpot Marketing Hub.

  • Design and advise on lifecycle architecture, lead management, routing, automation, CRM/MAP integrations, attribution, reporting, and data governance.

  • Translate complex technical findings into clear recommendations for executive and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Review strategist work for technical accuracy and strategic quality before client delivery.

  • Partner with Account Directors and internal leadership to identify expansion and cross-sell opportunities.

  • Support scoping, solution design, and new business conversations for RevOps opportunities.

  • Help develop repeatable processes, documentation, playbooks, and technical standards as the Revenue Operations practice scales.

  • Maintain visibility into project health, capacity, utilization, and delivery risks across the team.

What You’ll Bring:

Must Haves

  • 5+ years of experience in Revenue Operations, Marketing Operations, CRM consulting, marketing automation, or a related discipline.

  • 1–2+ years of direct people management or formal team leadership experience.

  • Active Salesforce Administrator Certification.

  • Deep experience with Salesforce Account Engagement/Pardot:

    • Pardot/Account Engagement certification strongly preferred; or

    • At least 2–3 years of hands-on Pardot implementation and administration experience.

  • Strong hands-on experience with HubSpot Marketing Hub, including automation, lifecycle management, data architecture, integrations, and reporting.

  • Experience leading complex CRM and marketing automation implementations, audits, migrations, or optimization initiatives.

  • Strong understanding of lead lifecycle management, lead routing, attribution, CRM/MAP integrations, automation, and data governance.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead senior-level client conversations and translate technical issues into business recommendations.

  • Strong written and verbal communication with the ability to confidently manage client expectations and difficult conversations.

  • Ability to balance leadership responsibilities with hands-on technical execution.

Preferred

  • Previous agency experience strongly preferred; consulting or professional services experience is also highly relevant.

  • Salesforce Account Engagement/Pardot certification.

  • Additional Salesforce certifications.

  • HubSpot certifications.

  • Experience working across both Salesforce and HubSpot environments for B2B organizations.

  • Experience scoping projects, supporting sales conversations, and identifying account expansion opportunities.

  • Experience working across multiple concurrent client engagements.
