Job description

An organization in remote U.S. healthcare is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to provide virtual primary care through a high-volume telehealth team. This role involves evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients across the lifespan while delivering care through asynchronous messaging, video visits, and collaborative virtual support.

About the Opportunity:

  • Shift: Day shift
  • Schedule: Monday through Sunday; flexible availability with weekday and weekend coverage
  • Hours: Minimum 30 hours per month
  • Setting: Remote

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive virtual primary care for pediatric and adult patients across the lifespan.
  • Conduct scheduled and on-demand video visits and asynchronous consultations.
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic medical conditions.
  • Prescribe medications, order laboratory and diagnostic testing, and provide follow-up care.
  • Document patient encounters accurately and collaborate with a multidisciplinary virtual care team.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or doctoral degree from an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner program.
  • National Family Nurse Practitioner certification or board certification.
  • Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license.
  • Current licensure in California, New York, or Washington, DC.
  • At least two years of clinical practice within the last five years in outpatient primary care, urgent care, or emergency medicine treating patients of all ages.
  • Strong telemedicine skills and comfort using technology and electronic medical records.
  • Excellent clinical judgment and outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with a virtual care team.
  • National Provider Identifier (NPI).
  • At least one active prescribing credential, such as DEA registration or applicable state prescribing authority.
