Job description

Opportunity for a Psychiatrist Physician in Somerville, New Jersey, focusing on inpatient Behavioral Health at a leading healthcare facility. This role entails collaborative patient care and psychiatric management.

About the Opportunity:

  • Hybrid or Remote: Not applicable
  • Shift: Day shift
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, with one weekend per month
  • Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Setting: Inpatient Behavioral Health

Responsibilities:

The Psychiatrist (Physician) will be responsible for:
  • Evaluating, diagnosing, managing, and discharging psychiatric inpatients
  • Providing care for patients with complex psychiatric conditions
  • Conducting psychiatric assessments and medication management
  • Collaborating with physicians, APPs, nursing staff, and treatment teams
  • Participating in treatment planning and discharge coordination

Qualifications:

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
  • Active New Jersey Medical License
  • Experience in inpatient psychiatry
  • Proficiency in psychiatric evaluations and medication management
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Effective communication skills
  • Team-oriented attitude
  • Adaptability in a multidisciplinary environment

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in complex behavioral health management preferred
  • Active New Jersey Medical License
  • Comfortable supervising APPs
  • Proficiency in EMR systems
  • Strong organizational skills
