THE ROLE:
FloSports is looking for a Producer-Editor to join our Live Production team in Bloomington, IL. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic, talented, and highly-technical post-production professional with a passion for creating broadcast elements and video content. This role will be primarily focused on creating on air graphics and motion elements; video editing of show opens and other content used in the broadcast; and providing onsite support in the roles of graphics operator, producer, and content gathering via photography and videography.
This position features at home and on-site work. Travel to support major events onsite will be part of the role, when necessary. Remote graphics support and training will also be required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Design and create high-quality on-air broadcast elements and motion elements for live production.
  • Perform video editing of show opens, content pieces, and promotional materials for use in live broadcasts.
  • Support live events through onsite Graphics Operator or Graphics Producer roles.
  • Conduct onsite content gathering, including photography and videography, to support post-production needs.
  • Work in a high-event volume, tight turnaround environment to provide critical support for multiple producer teams.
  • Troubleshoot graphics issues and production problems logically, calmly, and efficiently.
  • Develop and train a talent pool of skilled graphic operators to use CharacterWorks

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Photoshop for creating, preparing, and manipulating high-quality graphic assets for on-air broadcast elements.
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe After Effects for designing and implementing complex motion graphics, video compositions, and animated show elements for broadcast.
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro for non-linear video editing of show opens, content pieces, and promotional materials in a tight turnaround, high-event volume environment.
  • Knowledge of CharacterWorks preferred
  • Background or education in video production. Racing video production experience preferred
  • Experience with storytelling, editing, shooting, lighting, and audio
  • Critical thinking and troubleshooting experience
  • Ability to lead, execute and deliver in a fast-paced environment
  • Process driven and detail oriented
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and quick turnaround times on projects
  • Experience and understanding of motorsports storylines and storytelling
