 To be considered for this position, candidates MUST reside in the Austin, Texas metropolitan area.  This position is Hybrid/Remote in the Austin, TX metro area.  


POSITION SUMMARY

We're seeking a Product Marketing & Training Manager with a growth mindset,  deep expertise in training, commercialization, and cross-functional leadership. This role will own the strategy and execution of program and product messaging, internal and external training programs, and student participation strategies-ensuring teams are fully equipped to drive product and program adoption, retention, and strong overall outcome performance.


Working across Product, Programming,  Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Account Management, you will play a central role in how our products and programs are communicated and scaled. This position requires strong higher education and financial acumen, including experience managing P&L, optimizing product and program performance, and supporting data-driven decision making that drives positive student experiences and outcomes.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities:


Product Marketing (40%)

  • Lead go-to-market strategies for product and program launches, enhancements, and lifecycle initiatives.
  • Develop differentiated positioning and messaging based on customer insights, market research, and competitive intelligence.
  • Create and manage content such as solution briefs, customer stories, datasheets, landing pages, FAQs, explainer videos, and thought- leadership.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to translate technical features into compelling value for students and universities.
  • Support demand generation with high-impact messaging aligned to API mission and student participation priorities. 

Training & Enablement Programs (30%)

  • Own the strategy, design, and execution of onboarding and continuous learning for internal teams and external partners.
  • Build scalable, multimedia training assets including guides, walkthroughs, e-learning modules, certification pathways, and webinars.
  • Collaborate with Member Services and universities to ensure training accelerates product adoption, reduces time to value, and drives other measurable outcomes.
  • Analyze training effectiveness using engagement metrics, performance data, and feedback to continually refine program or product objectives and metrics to focus on supporting students and universities. 

Support for Students, Colleges, and Universities (30%)

  • Develop student participation programs that deliver API student participation, services, and support goals.  
  • Maintain a robust, data-informed college and university support including information decks, objection-handling guidance, and demo scripts.
  • Lead product readiness sessions, new-feature briefings, and student participation focused workshops for internal teams
  • Track content usage, student participation metrics, and pipeline impact to identify gaps and refine enablement strategies.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Proven ability to translate technical capabilities into compelling, value-driven messaging.
  • Strong background in developing training and educational content for diverse audiences.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence API metrics and outcomes
  • Skilled at managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects with clarity and momentum.
  • Proficiency in CRM, CMS, and marketing automation tools.
  • Experience with launch planning, stakeholder communication, and post-launch performance assessment.

KEY EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS 

  • A bachelor's degree from an Accredited University in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related discipline. (must have a foundational understanding of market dynamics, consumer behavior, and strategic communication.)
  • 4+ years in product marketing, enablement, or customer education within a B2B SaaS environment.
