As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Life Healing Counseling, your role will include a variety of critical responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough clinical assessments to understand patients' emotional and psychological needs, developing tailored treatment plans to guide your interventions.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to help patients cope with complex emotions surrounding their experiences and loss.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation of clinical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and the highest standards of ethical practices.
• Engage in multidisciplinary team meetings, collaborating with physicians, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care for each patient.
• Provide ongoing education and support to patients and their families, discussing mental health issues, available resources, and treatment options to enhance their understanding and involvement in care.
• Stay abreast of the latest research and practices in social work and mental health care to continually refine your therapeutic techniques and approaches.

You will work with a diverse group of patients, primarily focusing on individuals within the hospice community. This may involve addressing severe mental health issues related to grief, anxiety, depression, and existential concerns as patients and families prepare for end-of-life experiences. Your support will play a vital role in helping them cope with these transitions and finding peace during challenging times.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• A valid license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Texas.
• At least three years of direct clinical experience providing psychotherapy services in diverse settings.
• Strong knowledge of solution-focused interventions and therapeutic techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy and cultural competence.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a remote, multidisciplinary environment, prioritizing patient outcomes.

• Experience working in hospice or palliative care settings is highly beneficial.
• Knowledge of community mental health resources and referral systems.
• Demonstrated ability to handle challenging emotional situations with professionalism and compassion.
