Responsibilities
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair MRI RF coils including head, spine, body, extremity, and phased-array coils
  • Perform detailed electrical, mechanical, and RF diagnostics to isolate component-level failures
  • Repair and recondition coils to meet or exceed OEM performance standards
  • Conduct functional testing and quality assurance using coil testing equipment and signal verification tools
  • Maintain accurate service documentation and repair records
  • Support preventive maintenance initiatives and assist with coil inventory management
  • Collaborate with MRI technologists, biomedical staff, and engineering teams to reduce equipment downtime
  • Identify recurring failure trends and provide recommendations for process or repair improvements

Requirements
  • Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience repairing MRI coils (GE and Siemens platforms preferred)
  • BMET certification or equivalent biomedical/electronics technical background
  • Experience working with phased-array and multi-channel coil systems
  • Familiarity with MRI system integration, RF shielding, and safety protocols

Technical Skills
  • Strong understanding of RF electronics, signal integrity, and coil circuitry
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
  • Experience using oscilloscopes, multimeters, network analyzers, and coil test equipment
  • Knowledge of QA procedures and performance validation processes

Benefits
