Join our team as a Scheduler / Project Specialist, where you'll play a vital role in coordinating sign language interpreters, VRI, CART, and related services across a wide range of clients.
About the Role
Reporting to the Schedule Manager, the Scheduler / Project Specialist ensures smooth scheduling and coordination of interpreting and CART services. You'll serve as the central point of contact between clients and providers-balancing multiple requests, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring every assignment runs seamlessly.
Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate multiple interpreter and CART requests in a fast-paced environment.
  • Manage incoming service requests and outgoing confirmations efficiently.
  • Prepare and share materials between clients and providers for upcoming assignments.
  • Ensure providers receive complete prep materials, instructions, and details for each job.
  • Maintain up-to-date scheduling databases, including special requests and client preferences.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with clients, interpreters, vendors, and Deaf/hard of hearing consumers.
  • Uphold confidentiality and compliance with industry standards and guidelines (RID, CPC).
  • Contribute to special projects that support MAIG's mission.
  • Attend staff meetings, trainings, and conferences as needed.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and database management.
  • Experience scheduling large volumes of people across multiple locations.

  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
  • Demonstrated reliability, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
  • Conversational fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) and familiarity with Deaf culture strongly preferred.
