Responsible for leading manufacturing development projects and strategic initiatives from ideation through launch by engaging subject matter experts and guiding cross-functional teams to support the timely commercialization of Meijer's self-manufactured products. Provides first-level support and training to operations teams on current and future IT infrastructure systems, while partnering with project champions and cross-functional teams across Meijer to ensure the effective implementation of corporate product flow strategies, methods, and guidelines.
Position will follow our hybrid schedule: Monday-Wednesday in Grand Rapids MI corporate office, Thursday-Friday remote. Minimal travel expected.


What You'll be Doing:

  • Create, lead, and execute ITS development and capability projects that support manufacturing sales, margin growth, and company-wide performance goals.
  • Create and manage Manufacturing ITS feature cards and timelines; review project plans for consistency and standards compliance; manage cross-functional dependencies; and adjust plans or resolve issues as needed.
  • Provide first-level support and training to operations teams for current and future IT infrastructure systems, including the full Manufacturing Systems (PLEX) platform, Merchandising, Planning, Product Flow, Distribution, and Logistics.
  • Share responsibility for Manufacturing Systems Administration, including configuration for systems integration.
  • Research market trends and industry standards to support new business, product development, and ITS infrastructure initiatives; provide direction and input to project leads and coordinate integration activities with other IT departments to ensure successful implementation and support.
  • Participate in ITS Development meetings to help the team resolve software development issues.
  • Monitor current development project status and communicate updates to the business.
  • Lead the development and deployment of metrics used to analyze business performance.
  • Lead the implementation of corporate product flow strategies, methods, and guidelines for manufacturing.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external customers and the IT organization to support successful process and technology integration that meets customer requirements.

What You Bring with You (Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of combined experience in supply chain management, inventory management, supply chain operations, or vendor performance management preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-starter who can work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proven leadership and subject matter expertise that build team confidence.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in creating SOPs and training documentation.
  • Manufacturing industry experience, or experience in a similar production or service environment, preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute multiple projects and manage resources to achieve goals.
  • Ability to develop efficient, effective solutions to complex business challenges.
  • Strong relationship management skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Visio. Curiosity to explore new data sources and tools required; prior SQL or coding experience required.
  • PMPO Product Manager/Product Owner certification required or expected.
