As an LMFT at Valley View Medical Clinic, you will:

• Conduct therapy sessions with couples and individuals, creating tailored treatment plans that address specific needs and circumstances.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions that encompass various themes related to family dynamics, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all participants.
• Assess and document client progress and treatment response, utilizing digital health records to maintain efficient and accurate patient information.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, to optimize client care and treatment outcomes.
• Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated with the latest evidence-based practices in marriage and family therapy.

This role involves working with a diverse clientele, including adults, children, and entire families. You will address a wide range of concerns such as:

• Substance and alcohol abuse.
• Complex familial issues, including conflicts between family members and issues related to blended families.
• Grief and loss counseling.
• Life transitions, such as divorce and its adjustments.

To effectively fulfill the role of Marriage and Family Therapist, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
• An active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for client care.
• Familiarity with digital health record systems and telehealth platforms.

While not mandatory, the following experiences will enhance your candidacy:

• Experience working in a community health clinic or similar setting.
