About This Role:
The iRhythm Systems Quality Assurance Team is looking for a Senior Systems Quality Assurance Engineering Lead to help drive quality execution across complex software releases supporting iRhythm's cardiac monitoring platform.
In this role, you will lead quality assurance efforts across multiple complex software initiatives, driving test strategy, planning, estimation, execution, risk management, and release readiness activities. Success in this position requires exceptional project leadership, strong stakeholder communication, and the ability to guide teams toward predictable, high-quality delivery in a regulated environment. This role combines project management excellence, technical depth, and quality leadership.
Your team will contribute to scalable test frameworks, design automated testing solutions for applications supporting the cardiac monitoring device lifecycle and collaborate closely with Software Development and DevOps to build resilient continuous integration pipelines. We are seeking someone who is highly organized, and an excellent communicator.

What You'll Do
  • Lead QA delivery across multiple concurrent software projects and releases, balancing priorities, resources, risks, and timelines.
  • Drive test estimation activities and provide accurate effort projections, schedules, and quality commitments.
  • Communicate quality status, testing progress, risks, dependencies, and release readiness to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Lead teams through execution challenges, ensuring testing milestones are achieved and delivery commitments are met.
  • Facilitate cross-functional planning activities involving Product Management, Software Engineering, DevOps, Regulatory Affairs, and Quality Assurance.
  • Lead effective verification strategies across manual and automated testing efforts, including API and integration testing for backend platform services.
  • Champion initiatives that reduce manual testing effort and improve efficiency.
  • Track, manage, and communicate testing activities, project status, metrics, and quality outcomes through tools such as Jira and Jama.
  • Ensure testing activities and documentation align with processes supporting the medical device software development lifecycle and regulatory compliance expectations.

About You
Project Management & Leadership
  • Proven experience leading quality assurance efforts across multiple complex software projects or release programs.
  • Demonstrated success driving planning, estimation, prioritization, execution, and delivery in fast-paced environments.
  • Ability to coordinate testing activities across multiple teams while managing competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience communicating project status, risks, dependencies, and quality metrics to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, facilitation, and decision-making skills.

Technical Excellence
  • 8+ years of experience in software testing and test automation.
  • Expertise with modern automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, TestNG).
  • Strong programming skills in Java, C#, or similar object-oriented languages.
  • Experience developing automated testing solutions for API, integration, and backend services.
  • Deep understanding of CI/CD ecosystems and quality engineering best practices.

Regulatory & Medical Device Experience
  • Experience working in a regulated industry such as medical devices, healthcare, life sciences, or other compliance-driven environments.
  • Familiarity with software development and verification processes required within regulated environments.
  • Understanding of risk-based testing, traceability, design controls, validation practices, and compliance documentation.
  • Medical device software experience and familiarity with FDA, IEC 62304, ISO 13485, or similar standards strongly preferred.

Estimated Pay Range
$138,000.00 - $180,000.00
