Key Responsibilities

Your role as a Mental Health Therapist will involve various key responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments of individuals, adolescents, families, and groups, utilizing graduate-level clinical methodologies tailored to meet client needs.
  • Perform initial comprehensive patient assessments to identify their specific psychological and emotional needs, guiding subsequent treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams through regular documentation and meetings to discuss treatment interventions and effective care plans for our clients.
  • Exhibit competence in addressing the diverse physical, psychological, social, educational, and safety needs of clients across all age groups.
  • Provide case management support by engaging with various hospital and community professionals to facilitate holistic client care.
  • Deliver Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based modalities to effectively aid clients in achieving their personalized service goals.
  • Ensure timely and ethical completion of all client documentation in accordance with departmental standards.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will significantly impact a wide variety of clients, ranging from adolescents grappling with anxiety to families in transitional periods. By utilizing techniques like CBT and creating individualized plans, you will empower clients to overcome challenges, enhance their coping strategies, and improve overall mental health.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Current licensure as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Nevada.
  • Willingness to commit to 10 to 40 hours of client sessions per week, with flexibility in scheduling.
  • A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in mental health counseling or a related field.
Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with experience in outpatient settings, particularly those familiar with community health clinics, will be highly regarded. Experience in administering diverse therapy modalities will also be beneficial.
