This role typically involves reviewing patient records, coordinating with healthcare teams, and submitting reports electronically. Remote MDS Nurses must have experience in long-term care and MDS 3.0, along with strong analytical and communication skills.
A typical day for a Remote MDS Nurse involves reviewing patient records, completing and submitting MDS assessments, and ensuring all documentation meets regulatory and facility standards. You’ll frequently collaborate with on-site nursing staff, interdisciplinary care teams, and sometimes residents’ families to gather and clarify information.
