Job description

Role Overview

PIC, a Genus company, has an exciting opportunity. We are looking for a Reproduction Services Manager (Remote - USA) to provide high quality services to boar studs in North America.

This position is responsible for delivering professional technical service and support to customer boar studs within the swine industry. The primary focus is to improve both barn and laboratory management practices to enhance semen output, semen quality, and overall boar stud performance. Success in this role requires an educational background, plus years of handson swine production experience, specifically within boarstud or swine reproduction systems, to effectively evaluate current operations and implement improvement strategies. By combining advanced technical knowledge with practical, swinespecific experience, the Reproduction Services Manager will identify operational opportunities, develop action plans, and monitor execution to ensure measurable improvement. In addition, this role will contribute to the development of new knowledge, bestpractice guidelines, and training programs for PIC's boarstud partners, ensuring continuous advancement in semen production, quality control, and quality assurance systems.

The successful candidate is able work in a culturally diverse, fast-paced environment, including the ability to multi-task and anticipate needs while managing competing priorities and maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills, both verbally and in written form, as well as organizational skills are pivotable to succeed in this role.

The position is based remotely in the USA with travel approximately 40% domestic and international.

The salary range for this position is $108,000 - $125,000 USD. The salary provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Genus considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

You Will
  • Work with customer and contracted boar studs mainly in North America (USA, Canada).
  • Monitor performance levels and help establish/respond to performance opportunities targeted by PIC boar stud customers.
  • Drive efficiency initiatives with key accounts to improve genetic dissemination.
  • Provide guidance to PIC Owned and Contracted GTC's, utilizing their QC results and PIC best practices, leading to elevated QA and performance of PIC semen products.
  • Develop, with other team members, comprehensive plans, technical information and initiatives aimed at creating value with customers through PIC products, technology and /or services.
  • Support the sales, supply chain and genetic teams with regular technical updates and tailored customer service plans.
  • Help customers realize the genetic potential of PIC products.
Requirements

Basic Qualifications: (required)

  • Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, Agricultural Science, Veterinary or Life Science or a related field with 4+ years of experience; or a Master's degree in the same fields with 2+ years of experience.
  • Experience managing or consulting Gene Transfer Centers (GTCs).
  • Proven experience managing a boar stud within the swine industry, including successful project execution and demonstrated competency in basic data analysis.
  • Proficiency in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 40% within North America; travel may increase based on business needs.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Spanish language proficiency.
