Job Title:Student Assistant Meat Processor (Animal Science)Department:FAES | Animal Sciences-JM

Student employees will perform and assist with food animal slaughter, cutting and processing of sellable cuts, along with labeling of meat products. Employees will also perform sanitation, learn HACCP, learn USDA -FSIS food safety regulations and follow all SSOPS, GMPS and CCPS of Meat Lab. Employees may also assist with preparing lab for classes, aiding in research in the lab space, aiding in extension events. Inventory management and sales inventory are also job duties that employees may be asked to do.

Qualifications needed: Ability to show up on time, work independently or in group, complete a task in a timely and efficient manner, basic math skills, ability to move/lift 40 pounds, ability to multitask is helpful.

All training is done in person, on the job.

No experience needed.
