Compensation: $43-46K (hourly, non exempt)

Location: Remote

Hours: M-Thursday 11am-8pm, Friday 10am-7pm EST. May work Saturdays to support deadline weeks.

Candidates can reside in one of the following states: AL, AR, AZ, FL, GA, ID, IN, KY, LA, MI, MO, MS, NC, NV, OH, OK, SC, PA, TN, TX, UT, VA, and WI


PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The Financial Services Analyst is an individual who is responsible for the overall process within the Financial Services Department. The Financial Services Analyst also is responsible for maintaining confidentiality of the financial aid information. This role will report any issues or improvement plans to the Director of Financial Services. This role will also help in the development of the financial aid department within the organization.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure compliance and accurate information provided to students.

  • Review and audit files upon submission from the FAC’s.

  • Create Award Letter and FASApp.

  • Issue and maintain award letters as appropriate.

  • Maintain/update the certified loan report.

  • Complete the financial aid file once a student has gone through the entire process of FA.

  • Help students obtain funding through various programs available.

  • Prepare, explain and supply applicants with appropriate documents to make informed decisions regarding financial aid.

  • Analyze timing of funding of students.

  • Update Salesforce appropriately in the financial aid section regarding funding score, etc.

  • Verify funding amounts and order funds as appropriate.

  • Participate in financial aid meetings and events.

  • Download vouchers and verify funding of those vouchers. Scan, upload and email vouchers as necessary.

  • Issue borrower notifications.

  • Provide exit counseling.

  • Run enrollment reporting and add new student’s to NSLDS transfer monitor list.

  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS


  • Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and experience.

  • 2 years’ experience in a customer facing role preferred

  • 2 years’ experience in financial aid role preferred

  • Salesforce experience a plus
