Your Role: Farm Animal Senior Analyst - Sustainability Operations
As the Elanco Knowledge Solutions - Farm Animal Senior Analyst - Sustainability Operations, you will be part of Elanco Knowledge Solutions (EKS), delivering innovative data solutions that help producers improve profitability, enhance sustainability, and prioritize animal health and welfare. In this role, you will lead data strategy and reporting initiatives, support customer success, and collaborate across cross-functional teams to develop and enhance digital sustainability solutions that create value for customers and the business.
Your Responsibilities:
  • Lead the data model, governance, access security, and data integrity roadmap for the sustainability platform ecosystem; design and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to monitor data verification, program interventions, and provide real-time visibility for stakeholders.
  • Optimize and automate existing data processes, improve data flows and system integrations with internal and external partners, identify system enhancements that maximize platform ROI, and ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and governance standards.
  • Serve as a trusted customer resource by troubleshooting data issues, resolving or escalating concerns, collaborating with stakeholders to improve the user experience, and creating and delivering training materials for internal teams, sales teams, and external users.
  • Partner with the Sustainability Program Design team, business stakeholders, and IT vendors to define customer needs, translate business requirements into technical solutions, develop project plans, manage milestones, dependencies, and risks, and communicate project status to key stakeholders.
  • Coordinate cross-functional user testing and successful solution launches while applying critical thinking, learning agility, and process improvement principles to continuously enhance technical solutions, systems, tools, and operational processes.

What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree
  • Required Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience as a business analyst, project manager, or related role within the farm animal industry.
  • Top Skills: Advanced Power BI expertise (including DAX, Power Query, and Row-Level Security) and the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions through strong project management, business analysis, and cross-functional communication skills.

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):
  • Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Data Science, Agriculture, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience with SQL, Databricks, SmartSheet, ArcGIS, or similar data management and analytics tools.
  • Experience supporting agricultural sustainability initiatives, dairy operations, dairy management software, or sustainability platform development.
  • Experience working with Agile and Waterfall software development methodologies.
  • Experience in customer service, technical writing, compliance procedures, and process documentation.

  • Travel: 10-25% annually.
  • Location: US Remote (must be available during Central or Eastern Time business hours); must reside within the US and in CST or EST

Elanco currently anticipates that the base salary for this position could range from $68,000.00 to $119,100 depending partly on the successful candidate's qualifications, including education and experience. Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending partly on company and individual performance). Additionally, Elanco offers a comprehensive benefit program to eligible employees that includes a company-matching 401(k); vacation benefits; eligibility for medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug benefits; flexible benefits (e.g., healthcare and/or dependent day care flexible spending accounts); life insurance and death benefits; certain time off and leave of absence benefits; and well-being benefits (e.g., employee assistance program, fitness benefits, and employee clubs and activities). Of course, the compensation is subject to change and could be higher or lower than the range described above.
