Immediate Placement - Direct Client - Position:- Senior Network Engineer - Location:- Remote - Type:- ContractHi,Hope you are doing great!!!**Position:- Senior Network Engineer****Location:- Remote****Type:- (4-6 Months) ContractWe are looking for a highly experienced Senior Network Engineer to manage, troubleshoot, and optimize a complex network environment for one of our financial services clients. The role involves addressing performance issues, fine-tuning VPNs, ensuring Quality of Service (QoS) across wired and wireless networks, and administering network access controls. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in analyzing network traffic, managing VMWare NSX micro-segmentation, and collaborating with vendors for seamless operations. This is a remote, contract role.Responsibilities:- Analyze and resolve network speed and throughput issues using tools like Wireshark or other analysis methods.- Diagnose and optimize network traffic to improve performance.- Tuning and troubleshooting FortiSASE VPN for stable and high throughput network service. Address frequent VPN disconnection issues by working closely with the VPN provider/vendor.- Ensure consistent QoS across wired and wireless connections within office environments.- Manage and administer port access and resource permissions across different environments.- Oversee network security protocols and configurations.- Configure, monitor, and maintain network micro-segmentation implemented using VMware's hypervisor.- Ensure proper isolation and security for different workloads using Virtual Network Firewalls, encryption etc.- Collaborate with system administrators to maintain network reliability and performance of critical business applications and services.Qualifications:- 12+ years of progressive network operations management experience.- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.- Ability to interact with clients in a professional and articulate manner.- Advanced knowledge of VPN technologies, especially FortiSASE VPN, including hands-on configuration and troubleshooting.- Experience with QoS configuration and monitoring tools for wired and wireless networks (e.g., Fortinet and VMWare QoS tools)- Expertise in using network analysis tools such as Wireshark, or similar for packet capture and traffic diagnostics.- Hands-on experience with VMware NSX-T or vSphere for managing micro-segmentation and virtual network environments.- Proficiency in managing access control lists (ACLs), port configurations, and security protocols using tools like Fortinet or Cisco IOS- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and Layer 2/3 switching and routing.- Familiarity with datacenter networking tools such as VMware vSAN, or similar platforms.- Comprehensive Windows Server operating system administration skills- Proven ability to work with developers, testers, and other ops engineers through the product lifecycle- CCNP Enterprise, CompTIA Security+, Fortinet NSE or VMWare certification relevant to this job description is a plus.Sudheera Savati**Recruiter | Cobb Systems Group, LLCDirect: 301-288-1918ssavati@cobbsystemsgroup.com
