Job Summary:
The Purchasing Coordinator supports daily purchasing and procurement activities that enable production and business operations. Responsibilities include purchase order processing, supplier coordination, vendor onboarding, pricing maintenance, invoice resolution, and vendor master data management.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working effectively with suppliers, Accounts Payable, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely procurement support.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support supplier onboarding activities, including vendor setup, documentation collection, and vendor master maintenance.
* Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with company policies and compliance requirements.
* Resolve purchase order, receiving, and invoicing discrepancies to support timely payment processing.
* Maintain procurement records and documentation to ensure completeness and audit readiness.
* Partner with Accounts Payable and suppliers to reconcile invoices and resolve payment issues.
* Generate and distribute purchasing reports, metrics, and status updates as needed.
Required Qualifications:
* 2-5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, and supply chain support functions.
* Computer savvy with skills using ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Deltek Costpoint and Excel.
* Knowledge of purchase order processing, invoicing, supplier management, and vendor relations.
* Experience working within FAR/DFARS procurement requirements.
* Experience in a manufacturing, marine, or industrial environment preferred.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Due to the nature of the role, US Citizenship is required
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience administering subcontract agreements.
* Experience with vendor onboarding and vendor master maintenance.
* Manufacturing, marine, or defense industry experience.
* Knowledge of purchasing analytics and reporting tools.
