Aprio is one of the fastest-growing advisory and accounting firms in the U.S. - and with that growth comes constant, meaningful change. We're looking for a skilled internal communicator to serve as the dedicated communications partner to our People & Culture and Learning & Development teams. This role sits within Aprio's Strategic Communications & Corporate Affairs function, with deep day-to-day alignment to P&C.
 
This role owns the communications that bring those efforts to life. From enterprise-wide transformation to individual program rollouts, this person serves as a narrative steward - connecting discrete change initiatives into a cohesive story about where Aprio is headed and what it means for our people. This role advises senior leaders on how to communicate through change with credibility and care, and helps shape the internal brand that makes our People team's work visible, trusted, and felt across the organization.
Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the embedded communications partner for People & Culture and Learning & Development, owning the strategy and execution of all communications tied to those functions
  • Build and steward an internal brand for the People & Culture team, giving our HR programs a consistent voice, identity, and narrative that team members recognize and trust
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the Chief People Officer and People Leadership Team, owning their internal content and shaping how they show up to the organization
  • Craft the transformation narrative - connecting discrete change initiatives into a cohesive story about Aprio's future, then continuously adapt it based on how change is resonating across the organization
  • Treat communication as a living, iterative process - surface patterns of confusion, resistance, or momentum; listen for what team members need to hear next; and evolve messaging in real time
  • Draft and manage high-stakes communications related to leadership changes, restructuring, strategic resets, and workforce initiatives, FAQs, and manager toolkits so people leaders can cascade messages with confidence
  • Write across all formats: all-hands scripts, intranet content, video scripts, team member announcements, and more
  • Build and manage a communications calendar aligned to the P&C and L&D program roadmap
  • Partner closely with peers across Strategic Communications & Corporate Affairs to ensure internal and external messaging is aligned and consistent
  • Measure communication effectiveness and use data and feedback loops to continuously improve
Qualifications:
  • 6-10+ years of internal communications experience, with a strong track record in transformation, change, or HR/People communications
  • Experience building or stewarding an internal brand
  • Proven ability to develop a transformation narrative that connects discrete initiatives into a story employees can understand, believe in, and act on
  • Exceptional writing skills
  • Strong executive presence; comfortable advising senior leaders on messaging, tone, and timing
  • Experience in a high-growth or fast-changing environment; professional services background a plus
  • Familiarity with internal communications platforms and tools (Microsoft 365, Firstup, Teams, intranets, etc.)
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity
