Job description

Role Overview:
This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise Managed File Transfer (MFT) solutions. The primary goal is to enable secure, reliable, and scalable data exchange with both internal and external partners, ensuring compliance with enterprise and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and support MFT platforms, specifically Axway Secure Transport and/or IBM Sterling Integrator.
  • Configure and maintain various file transfer protocols including SFTP, AS2, FTPS, and HTTPS.
  • Lead the end-to-end partner onboarding process, covering connectivity setup, trading partner configuration, file routing and validation, testing, and production deployment.
  • Ensure secure data exchange, adhering to enterprise and regulatory requirements such as HIPAA.
  • Monitor file transfers, troubleshoot failures, and ensure strict adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Perform incident management and resolution, utilizing tools like ServiceNow, with a focus on reducing Mean Time To Resolution (MTTR).
  • Build and enhance monitoring, alerting, and logging systems for proactive issue detection.
  • Collaborate effectively with business and technical teams to support evolving data exchange requirements.
  • Drive automation initiatives (COLA) for onboarding and operational processes to minimize manual effort.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance the reliability, performance, and scalability of MFT operations.

Required Skills:
  • Managed File Transfer (MFT) platforms: Axway Secure Transport, IBM Sterling Integrator.
  • MFT platform management and support experience.
  • File Transfer Protocols: SFTP, AS2, FTPS, HTTPS.
  • Partner Onboarding expertise: Connectivity setup, Trading partner configuration, File routing and validation, Testing and production deployment.
  • Data Transformation & Integration: IBM Transformation Extender (ITX), ITX Advanced (ITXA), Sterling Integrator Mapping tools, Complex data transformations, EDI, XML, JSON, CSV, Fixed-Length files.
  • EDI & Data Exchange: EDI transaction sets, EDI transactions (X12), Data mapping concepts, Secure data exchange.
  • Operations & Support: Monitoring file transfers, Troubleshooting failures, SLA adherence, Incident management, Problem resolution, MTTR reduction, Production support environments.
  • Monitoring & Automation: Monitoring, Alerting, Logging, Automation of onboarding and operational processes (COLA initiatives).
  • Tools: ServiceNow or similar ticketing tools.
  • Professional Skills: Strong troubleshooting skills, Strong problem-solving skills, Experience working in Agile environments.

Preferred Skills:
  • Healthcare & Compliance: Experience in healthcare data exchange, HIPAA compliance.
  • Automation & Cloud: Knowledge of automation frameworks and scripting for onboarding, Exposure to cloud-integrated MFT solutions (Azure/GCP).
  • Operations: Understanding of SLA-driven operations, Understanding of monitoring frameworks.
