Job description

FINNess Advisors is a female-founded outsourced accounting and finance firm built specifically for high-growth consumer brands. We partner with over 10 rapidly scaling companies across the CPG space, helping founders build investor-ready financials, scalable accounting infrastructure, and clean GAAP-compliant operations that can actually support growth.

This is not a traditional corporate accounting role.

Our team works directly alongside founders and leadership teams as strategic partners, helping brands navigate everything from operational scaling to inventory complexity to financial visibility. We’re looking for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys solving problems, and wants exposure to multiple exciting consumer brands rather than sitting inside one company doing the same thing every month.

If you’re someone who loves building structure, improving processes, and being part of a smart, collaborative team that genuinely cares about the work — this is a rare opportunity to grow with a highly respected and expanding firm.

About the Role

We’re hiring a Senior Accountant to support and manage accounting operations across a portfolio of high-growth consumer brands. This is a highly visible, client-facing role ideal for someone with strong technical accounting fundamentals, extensive GAAP knowledge, and deep NetSuite experience.

You’ll work across multiple brands in industries including CPG, retail, e-commerce, and consumer products, helping clients establish clean financial operations while acting as a trusted accounting partner.

This role is fully remote and offers significant long-term growth potential as FINNess Advisors continues to expand.

What You’ll Do
  • Own core accounting operations across multiple consumer brand clients
  • Lead month-end close processes including:
    • Journal entries
    • Accruals
    • Account reconciliations
    • Financial reporting
  • Maintain accurate, GAAP-compliant financials within NetSuite
  • Support inventory accounting processes including:
    • COGS
    • Landed costs
    • Inventory reconciliations
    • Variance analysis
  • Ensure accurate revenue recognition across channels including Amazon, Shopify, DTC, wholesale, and retail
  • Help build and improve scalable accounting workflows and internal controls
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, logistics, and supply chain teams
  • Assist with audits, tax support, investor reporting requests, and ad hoc projects
  • Support process automation and operational improvements across client accounts
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and day-to-day accounting partner to clients
What We’re Looking For
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong experience within CPG, consumer goods, retail, or e-commerce environments preferred
  • Extensive GAAP accounting experience required
  • Strong NetSuite experience required
  • Experience with inventory accounting and multi-entity environments strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Revenue recognition
    • Inventory costing
    • Accrual accounting
    • Financial reporting
  • Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, lookups, reconciliations, and reporting analysis
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and clients simultaneously
  • Experience working in an outsourced accounting, advisory, or client-facing environment is a plus
  • Self-starter mindset with strong attention to detail and accountability
Why Join FINNess Advisors?
  • Fully remote work environment with flexibility and autonomy
  • Female-founded leadership team
  • Opportunity to work with over 10 exciting and rapidly growing CPG brands
  • High visibility and direct exposure to founders and leadership teams
  • Collaborative, sharp, and supportive culture
  • Real opportunity for long-term growth as the firm continues scaling
  • Meaningful, impactful work where your contributions directly influence client success
Compensation
  • Competitive base salary: $85,000–$100,000 DOE
  • Growth opportunities as the company expands
  • Flexible remote environment
  • Opportunity to make a major impact inside a growing firm and across multiple high-growth brands
