We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team at Positive Progress Counseling Center. This full-time remote position allows you to work from the comfort of your home while making a significant impact in the lives of young individuals and families. As an LMFT, you will use evidence-based therapeutic practices to facilitate healing and foster growth in clients, primarily focusing on adolescents and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for families, proactively communicating with them regarding their loved oneโ€™s treatment progress.
  • Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions using Newport Healthcareโ€™s clinical model and the Attachment-Based Family Therapy model, adapting approaches based on client needs.
  • Lead new family orientations, welcome presentations, and family support groups, creating a foundation of trust and understanding.
  • Document assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, group notes, contact records, and discharge summaries in a timely manner, adhering to established standards.
  • Utilize tools such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems to enter and save data accurately.
  • Participate in weekly treatment team and clinical supervision meetings, contributing insights and collaborating with colleagues to enhance patient care.
  • Represent the organization in various meetings, trainings, and conferences as needed.
  • Independently manage your schedule to ensure efficient delivery of services and achievement of therapy goals for clients.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on adolescents and young adults facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. The clients you serve are often seeking a safe space to explore their thoughts and feelings, requiring your expertise to guide them toward healing and stability. As part of a dedicated team, you will play a critical role in fostering a supportive environment that promotes growth and resilience in your clients.

Qualifications
  • Masterโ€™s Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited or state-approved institution is required.
  • Current licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Florida, or obtaining licensure in progress.
  • Experience in providing individual, family, or group therapy, particularly with adolescents and young adults, is essential.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of mental health disorders, substance abuse issues, eating disorders, and trauma-informed care practices is preferred.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in a remote setting, ideally in the field of adolescent therapy or mental health.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities and best practices in mental health therapy.
  • Previous involvement in family-oriented therapy or support programs is advantageous.
Compensation and Benefits

This position offers competitive annual compensation ranging from USD 90,000 to 105,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
