Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, your role will involve:

  • Acting as a primary point of contact for families, maintaining open communication about their loved ones' progress and treatment.
  • Facilitating individual, family, and group therapy sessions rooted in our proprietary clinical model and Attachment-Based Family Therapy approach.
  • Leading Family Orientations and Welcome Presentations to educate and engage families in the therapeutic process.
  • Conducting thorough documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with established standards.
  • Utilizing tools such as Word, Outlook (for email and calendaring), and our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system to accurately manage client information and maintain detailed records.
  • Participating actively in weekly treatment team meetings, clinical supervision sessions, and ongoing training opportunities.
  • Managing your own schedule to efficiently balance client appointments and administrative tasks.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of your practice will be on adolescents and young adults grappling with issues such as mental health disorders, substance abuse, eating disorders, and trauma. You will work closely with clients and their families to foster meaningful relationships and equip them with coping skills and strategies to achieve both emotional and psychological well-being.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • A Master's Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Board registration as APCC, LAPC, ASW, AMFT, MHCA, or as a Psychological Associate in Florida.
  • A passion for working with adolescents and young adults and a commitment to providing therapeutic support tailored to their unique needs.
Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with the following experience will be highly regarded:

  • Previous experience in individual, group, or family therapy specifically targeting adolescents and young adults.
