This role will primarily operate in a remote telehealth setting, allowing our counselors to engage with patients from the comfort of their homes. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and screenings via telehealth to evaluate patient needs accurately and develop tailored treatment plans.
• Provide short-term individual counseling sessions that address varied mental health concerns, ensuring crisis intervention strategies are applied effectively when needed.
• Facilitate remote therapy groups and skill-building workshops focused on themes important to the personal development of our patients.
• Collaborate actively with a multidisciplinary team, including medical personnel, patient support services, and community organizations, to ensure holistic care for every patient.
• Engage in outreach initiatives aimed at raising mental health awareness and promoting wellness through community events, webinars, and other innovative formats.
• Maintain accurate, confidential patient records following all ethical and legal requirements, contributing to a reliable patient care system.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary patient population at Core Healing Counseling consists of individuals seeking support for a wide range of mental health issues. Qualifications

• Active state license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related disciplines is required.
• Demonstrable understanding of the unique mental health challenges faced by hospital patients and an ability to address their needs compassionately and effectively.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster meaningful relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Awareness of evidence-based therapeutic practices and brief therapy models appropriate for a telehealth delivery model.
• Ability to manage a diverse caseload efficiently, maintaining focus in a fast-paced telehealth environment.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience in a mental health counseling role, particularly within a hospital or healthcare setting.
• Experience utilizing telehealth platforms and maintaining therapeutic rapport in a virtual environment.
• Familiarity with collaborative care models and integrated health systems is preferred.
