• Conduct thorough intake assessments to develop individualized treatment plans that cater to each client’s unique needs.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused therapy to individuals, families, and groups.
• Maintain detailed and accurate clinical records, complying with all legal and ethical standards in mental health practice.
• Collaborate with physicians, social workers, and other mental health specialists to ensure an integrated approach to client care.
• Participate in regular training and workshops to stay informed on the latest research and trends in mental health treatment.
• Monitor client progress, continuously adapt therapeutic approaches as necessary, and provide supportive feedback.

The LPC will work closely with a diverse clientele, including individuals and families facing various mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance misuse. Many of our clients have historically had limited access to mental health resources, making each session an opportunity for significant positive change in their lives. You will play a vital role in cultivating a safe and supportive space where clients feel empowered to voice their concerns and work towards healing.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
• An active and unrestricted Professional Counselor (LPC) license in the state of Connecticut.
• A minimum of two years of experience providing counseling services in a clinical setting.
• A strong understanding of ethical guidelines and legal standards in mental health care.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate and build rapport with clients from all backgrounds.
• Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems to streamline documentation and client tracking.

• Specialized training or certifications in family therapy, trauma-informed care, couples therapy, or substance misuse treatment.
• Experience working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt therapeutic techniques to suit individual client needs.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote counseling methodologies.

The compensation for this role ranges from $70,000 to $90,000 annually, based on experience and caseload.
