Job description

GLLS builds complex lighting systems for architectural, signage, and entertainment applications-and we're looking for a driven sales professional to help us grow.
This is a hunter-focused role for someone who thrives on creating opportunities, building relationships, and staying relentlessly engaged with prospects and customers. You'll inherit established rep-agency relationships and an active pipeline while developing new business across a large, underserved territory.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, comfortable working remotely with limited oversight, and energized by the opportunity to join a growing company with significant untapped market potential.
Responsibilities
Lead & Project Follow-Up
- You must call and follow up relentlessly on every inbound lead and open project until it either closes or is definitively dead-no lead goes stale from lack of contact.
- Track every open lead and project status in the CRM in real time.
- Coordinate with the Sales Support team, who handle quote preparation and order processing, so the handoff from live conversation to paperwork is seamless.
Existing Client Growth
- Proactively call existing clients on a regular cadence to uncover new project opportunities and grow order volume.
- Own closing incremental business with existing accounts-this responsibility is a core measure of the role, not a side task.
- Coordinate directly with the Customer Success team on account boundaries and cadence so outreach to any given client is coordinated, not duplicated.
Pipeline Discipline
- Maintain accurate, current pipeline data for weekly review.
- Flag stalled or at-risk deals early rather than letting them age silently.
Requirements
Qualifications
- A track record of aggressive, self-generated phone outreach - this is a hunter profile, not a customer-service profile.
- Demonstrated motivation by commission: comfortable with pay that rewards results over base salary alone.
- Genuine LED lighting product knowledge, or the ability to get there fast.
- Strong spoken English, given the primary client audience is U.S.-based architects, specifiers, and sign companies.
- Proven ability to work remote and self-manage without close daily oversight.
Not a Fit If
- You wait for leads to come to you rather than chasing them down.
- You're motivated primarily by base salary stability over commission upside.
- You need significant structure or daily check-ins to stay productive.
- Your strength is account maintenance and relationship warmth rather than proactively generating new business from an existing base.
Benefits
Compensation: Base salary is $60,000 plus uncapped commission on both new and existing-account business (commission-forward structure). Commission is not a token add-on - based on typical order volumes in the LED lighting industry, a fully-ramped performer hitting normal activity levels can expect total earnings well above the base alone, with no ceiling on what strong performance can add. The harder and smarter you work this book, the bigger the upside.
Fully remote-work from anywhere in the United States with limited day-to-day oversight.
Join an established, growing company with a proven product line and an active rep network already in place-you're building on real infrastructure, not starting from nothing.
