Job description

Job Summary

Access Electrical & Lighting is seeking a reliable and motivated Electrical Apprentices and Journeyman with commercial experience to join our team. We have been serving Southern California for over 25 years and specialize in commercial lighting, electrical systems, and LED retrofits.

This is a great opportunity to grow with a well-established company and gain hands-on experience across a variety of commercial projects.

Apprentices pay range: $25 - $35 per hour depending on experience and skill level

Journeyman: Inquire for pay scale - A licensed Journeyman electrician with experience in electrical services and lighting installations. Interested in Foreman/Management position.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with installation of commercial electrical systems
  • Install and retrofit LED lighting and lighting control systems
  • Assist with emergency lighting and battery backup installations
  • Pull wire, bend/install conduit, and support electrical work
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and repairs
  • Maintain clean and organized job sites
  • Follow all safety procedures and electrical codes

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of commercial electrical experience (required)
  • Basic knowledge of electrical systems, tools, and materials
  • Ability to follow direction and work as part of a team
  • Strong work ethic and reliability
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to work in various environments, including high-reach conditions

Preferred (Not Required)

  • Experience with LED retrofits and commercial lighting systems
  • Familiarity with conduit bending and layout
  • OSHA certification is a plus
