Electrician $24-$42 ph, Commensurate on experience, licensing, and certifications

Job Summary: An Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, wiring, equipment, and fixtures in homes, commercial buildings, and industrial settings. The Electrician will work with a variety of electrical components and systems, ranging from basic wiring to more complex electrical systems, such as lighting, communication systems, and security systems.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Install and maintain electrical systems, wiring, equipment, and fixtures, according to local and national electrical codes
  • Inspect electrical systems and equipment to identify hazards or defects, and repair or replace as necessary
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical problems, and recommend solutions to customers
  • Collaborate with other contractors and workers, such as HVAC technicians and plumbers, to complete projects
  • Install and maintain lighting systems, including LED lighting, outdoor lighting, and emergency lighting
  • Install and maintain communication systems, such as intercoms and fire alarm systems
  • Install and maintain security systems, including cameras and access control systems
  • Read and interpret electrical blueprints, diagrams, and schematics
  • Follow safety procedures and regulations, and maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Communicate with customers to explain electrical issues, and provide estimates for repairs and installations

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of an apprenticeship program or vocational training in electrical systems
  • Valid electrician's license or certification, according to state and local regulations
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes, safety procedures, and regulations
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, and ability to troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematics
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Physical ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Compensation: $24.00 - $42.00 per hour
