Role Overview

The Business Development Representative (BDR)is responsible forcreatingpipelinefor the Account Executives byidentifyingand engaging with construction companies that couldbenefitfrom Premier. This is a front-line role focused on high-quality conversations with owners, finance leaders, and operations leaders in construction.

Key Responsibilities
Prospect into target accounts (GCs,developersand subcontractors) through a mix of outbound calls, emails, social, and event follow-up.
Quickly research and understand each account's structure, projects, and tech stack to personalize outreach.
Run consultative, question-led conversations to uncover business pain around job costing, WIP, billing, and fragmented systems.
Qualify prospects against our ICP and scheduling criteria, then book high-quality meetings for Account Executives.
Consistently achieve daily and weekly activity targets for calls, emails, social touches, and meetings set.
Maintainclean,accuraterecords of activities, contacts, and opportunities in the CRM and sales engagement tools.
Support trade show and event efforts: pre-book meetings,workthe floor, and execute disciplined post-event follow-up.
Collaborate with Marketing and Sales on messaging, sequences, and campaigns that resonate with construction finance and operations personas.
Provide structured feedback from conversations to help refine positioning, competitive intel, and product insights.
Stay current on Premier's product capabilities, competitive landscape, and construction finance workflows to speak credibly with prospects.

What Success Looks Like
Consistently meeting or exceeding monthly and quarterly targets for:
o Demonstrations booked
o Demonstrations completed
High meeting quality as reflected by AE feedback and opportunity progression (opportunities created, stage movement, and win rates).
Clean, reliable activity and pipeline data in the CRM and dashboards.
Recognized internally as a knowledgeable, credible voice when speaking with construction professionals.
Progression readiness for promotion into an AE or other revenue role within Premier.

Required Skills & Experience
1-3 years of experience in a BDR/SDR, inside sales, or similar customer-facing role (SaaS or B2B preferred).
Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable speaking with executives and field-oriented leaders.
Ability to run consultative, question-led conversations rather than scripted pitches.
High activity, high ownership mindset: proactive in managing yourbook of businessand calendar.
Comfortable working in CRM (e.g.HubSpot) sequencing/engagement tools (e.g.Amplemarket), and sales tech stack.
Strong organization and time management skills to balance outbound volume, follow-ups, and meeting prep.
Curiosity about construction, job costing, and how financial/operational workflows really work on projects.
Ability to work remotely across North American time zones and collaborate effectively via tools like Teams and email.

Nice-to-Have
Experience selling to construction, real estate development, or related industries.
Prior exposure to ERP, accounting, or project management software.
Experience prospecting into mid-market and enterprise accounts across North America.
Familiarity with data and research tools such as ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and intent/data enrichment platforms.
Experience working in a high-growth SaaS environment with defined SDR/BDR processes.
Willingness to travel for industry conferences and team events.
