Swingtech is currently looking for an Instructional Systems Designer to design innovative learning products that are instructionally sound and accurate and that engagingly convey content. The ISD will be expected to coordinate the development and delivery of all client training courses. This position will have local remote work options with possible travel to customer site in Baltimore, MD. Responsibilities include those listed below.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Employ the ADDIE Model and performance-based lean ISD processes to produce high-quality web-based and streaming training solutions
  • Create course design documents based on job task and user analysis
  • Design instructional materials
  • Develop end-user and facilitator training materials
  • Develop content incorporating subject matter expert (SME) input into clearly written and structured materials
  • Provide input for modifications to course content and activities
  • Utilize multimedia, instructional technology, and authoring tools to create classroom training and eLearning content
  • Ensure training products comply with applicable guidance and regulations (SCORM, FISMA, Sections 508 and 504, style guides, etc.)
  • Suggest and assist with implementing new instructional technology for efficient and effective training delivery
  • Communicate and work directly with the client in support of design and development efforts
  • Work effectively as part of dynamic team that includes SMEs, graphic designers, course developers, and technical writers to provide deliverables
  • Present at workshops and training events as needed
  • Other duties as assigned based on business needs

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • BA/MA in Instructional Design, Instructional Systems Technology, Education, or related field - or - other degree plus equivalent experience (e.g., education, training and experience as a military instructor).
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in instructional design, project management, and training and development
  • Demonstrated ability to apply instructional design methodology to create effective online training solutions
  • Demonstrate excellent facilitation, presentation and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of adult learning theories and ability to incorporate them into class design and delivery
  • Ability to solve problems in enterprising and proactive ways
  • Proficiency in Shareable Content Object Reference Module (SCORM) integration with Learning Management Systems such as Moodle, SumTotal, or Blackboard
  • Knowledge of Section 508 of the Disabilities Act and Section 508 compliance
  • Experience with Articulate Storyline and Rise
  • Collaborative and team-oriented
  • Proactive, self-driven, and able to work well in any environment while meeting deliverable deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Prior experience in the health care industry or on Medicare & Medicaid related courses is a plus
  • Experience with using artificial intelligence to improve task efficiency is a plus
