Job description

Futures start here. Where first steps, new friendships, and confident learners are born. At KinderCare Learning Companies, the first and only early childhood education provider recognized with the Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award, we offer a variety of early education and child care options for families. Whether it's KinderCare Learning Centers, Champions, or Creme de la Creme, we build confidence for kids, families, and the future we share. And we want you to join us in shaping it-in neighborhoods, at work, and in schools nationwide.

At KinderCare Learning Companies, you'll use your skills and expertise to support the work (and fun) that happens in our sites and centers every day. From marketers and strategists to financial analysts and data engineers, and so much more, we're all passionate about crafting a world where children, families, and organizations can thrive.

At KinderCare, we're designing experiences that shape how teachers engage with curriculum and professional learning at scale!

As Senior Design Developer, you'll bring your strong design craft, systems thinking, and a bias toward action to design experiences that support teachers! You'll build and develop digital and print experiences that are intuitive and engaging for educators for multiple curriculum and professional learning initiatives. You'll partner cross-functionally to turn ideas into clear, high-quality design solutions, navigate evolving requirements, find opportunities for improvement, and deliver scalable design solutions that improve the educator experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and produce multimedia learning experiences, including video, interaction, layout, and visual systems.
  • Translate educator needs into clear, intuitive user journeys, interaction models, and content structures.
  • Partner cross-functionally with content, product, operations, and engineering to shape and deliver design solutions.
  • Navigate ambiguity, using research, feedback, and data to iterate and improve experiences.
  • Contribute to and evolve a scalable library of design assets and learning experiences.
  • Own design quality and experience standards across assigned projects.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Design, UX, Educational Technology, Curriculum & Instruction, Multimedia Design, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years designing digital experiences, media, or instructional products.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (such as Premiere Pro, InDesign, Illustrator) or equivalent tools. Experience with course authoring tools (such as Articulate 360 or Rise).
  • Experience designing for both digital and print environments. Attention to visual design details, including layout, typography, and interface elements.
  • Strong foundation in UX, interaction design, and user-centered design principles.
  • Experience designing end-to-end experiences, including user flows, interaction patterns, and content structure. Ability to prototype, test, and iterate based on user feedback and data.
