Landscape ArchitectDesign Spaces That Shape Communities

Are you passionate about creating vibrant outdoor environments that enhance the way people live, work, and connect? Our client, a growing and highly collaborative architecture and design firm, is looking for a Landscape Architect to join their Raleigh team and help bring dynamic residential, mixed-use, and urban development projects to life.

With a diverse portfolio spanning projects across the United States and internationally, this firm offers the opportunity to work alongside talented architects, planners, and designers in an integrated studio environment. You'll contribute to projects from concept through construction while building strong client relationships, expanding your technical expertise, and growing your leadership capabilities.

Whether you're looking to deepen your design experience, take on greater project ownership, or collaborate on impactful community-focused developments, this role offers an exciting next step in your career.

What You'll Do

As a key member of the design team, you'll be involved in every stage of the project lifecycle, helping transform ideas into successful built environments.

Project & Design Leadership
  • Lead the preparation and coordination of landscape architecture drawings through all phases of project delivery.
  • Collaborate with architects, planners, and multidisciplinary design teams to develop creative and effective design solutions.
  • Participate in design charrettes, visioning sessions, public outreach initiatives, and collaborative workshops.
  • Create and deliver engaging design presentations for clients, review boards, and project stakeholders.
Project Management & Client Engagement
  • Assist in developing and managing project budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for clients and contractors on larger, more complex projects.
  • Support business development efforts, including proposal preparation, interviews, and client presentations.
  • Travel periodically to support project and client needs.
Technical & Construction Support
  • Research and select materials and products that align with project goals and design intent.
  • Prepare technical documentation and specifications.
  • Review shop drawings and construction-related documents.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress and help ensure successful implementation of design intent.
Team Development
  • Provide guidance and support to project team members.
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to their professional growth.
  • Participate in recruiting and interviewing efforts as needed.

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in a professional design environment.
  • Strong design sensibility with excellent graphic presentation and visual communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, and rendering/graphics software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Rhino and other modeling or parametric design tools.
  • Exposure to multifamily, mixed-use, urban, or community-oriented development projects.
  • A genuine interest in mentorship, collaboration, and continuous professional growth.

Why This Opportunity Stands Out
  • Join a firm experiencing strong growth and expanding project opportunities.
  • Help shape neighborhoods, residential communities, and urban environments that have a lasting impact.
  • Work closely with architects, planners, and designers in a collaborative, multidisciplinary setting.
  • Gain exposure to a diverse portfolio of projects across domestic and international markets.
  • Take on meaningful responsibilities with opportunities to build leadership and client-facing experience.
  • Be part of a culture that values creativity, teamwork, mentorship, and professional development.

Work Environment

This role is based in the firm's new Raleigh office near Glenwood Avenue and Hillsborough Street. While some remote flexibility is available, the position is primarily office-based to support collaboration, mentorship, and team engagement.

Ready to Grow Your Career?

If you're excited by the opportunity to create impactful outdoor environments, collaborate with a talented multidisciplinary team, and contribute to projects that shape thriving communities, we'd love to connect with you.

Key Improvements Made
  • Elevated the opening to focus on purpose and impact rather than simply listing responsibilities.
  • Added stronger career-growth messaging throughout the description.

  • Emphasized community impact, collaboration, leadership opportunities, and project variety.
  • Made the closing call-to-action more engaging and candidate-focused while remaining factual.
