Job description

We are looking for an experienced landscape designer to join our team. The person selected should have experience designing projects for both residential and commercial clients, involving a wide range of elements. Our main consideration when reviewing portfolios will be whether the design style suits the type of work in which we specialize. The successful candidate will use exceptional listening and creative skills to translate a client’s ideas and preferences into their dream landscape, in alignment with Myatt’s reputation for high-end, superior-quality services.

Necessary skills and qualifications:

·       Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Landscape Design or Landscape Architecture

·       2-5 years of experience in a landscape design role

·       Strong entrepreneurial drive to help grow our in-house design studio

·       Strong knowledge of landscape design and construction practices

·       Deep knowledge and understanding of municipal and building codes/regulations

·       Experience with municipal submissions/review processes

·       Possesses both hand-drawing and computer-aided design skills.

·       Design portfolio (including graphics and photos of completed work) must be submitted with the application

·       Ability to design using water and fire features, pools, outdoor kitchens, fences and outdoor structures, lighting, irrigation, drainage, hardscaping, outdoor recreation areas, landscaping, and more

·       Excellent writing and communication skills- continual communication with clients, colleagues, subcontractors, and vendors

·       Strong decision-making ability

·       Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
