As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Conducting comprehensive mental health assessments, involving psychosocial evaluations, detailed diagnostic interviews, and risk assessments tailored to the needs of diverse clients.
• Collaborating with patients and their families to develop personalized treatment plans that reflect cultural values and unique needs, ensuring a holistic approach to care.
• Delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), in a variety of settings including individual, couples, family, and group therapy.
• Providing timely crisis intervention services and partnering with other healthcare professionals to maintain continuity of care for patients experiencing acute distress.
• Maintaining thorough and accurate clinical documentation as per clinic policies, which includes progress notes and treatment plans that comply with regulatory standards.
• Educating patients and their families on mental health conditions, offering them the tools and knowledge necessary for self-management and advocacy.
• Collaborating within a multidisciplinary team, which might include psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, and case managers to ensure that all aspects of a patient’s care are seamlessly addressed.
• Regularly assessing and evaluating the effectiveness of treatment through structured outcome assessments, making necessary adjustments to treatment strategies as necessary.
• Staying abreast of the latest research, best practices, and trends in mental health to elevate clinical practices and client care.
• Upholding confidentiality and adhering to ethical guidelines in all interactions with clients.

The Family and Kids Behavioral Counseling Center focuses primarily on children and families navigating mental health challenges, particularly those who have encountered trauma or adverse life experiences. Our clients often seek support for a wide range of issues including grief, anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, and adjustment disorders. The successful candidate will possess:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work; a Master's degree is preferred.
• An active State license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, fostering rapport with patients from varied backgrounds.

An ideal candidate will demonstrate experience in trauma-informed care practices and will be familiar with working within a hospice or palliative care environment.
