What this job involves:
As a Senior Financial Analyst within JLL's Real Estate Management Services business unit, you will serve as a strategic financial partner to our client finance team, driving financial excellence and business growth through comprehensive financial management and analysis. This role is pivotal in supporting our team's performance goals by delivering accurate financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting that directly impacts client satisfaction and operational efficiency. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial integrity while contributing to JLL's mission of shaping the future of real estate for a better world. What your day-to-day will look like:
  • Serve as lead finance business partner to support PDS project management and capital planning / forecasting processes and deliverables, provide financial insights & reporting
  • Perform detailed variance analysis comparing actual performance to budget and forecast, identifying trends and providing actionable insights to stakeholders for improved decision-making
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and analysis to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting; oversee client funding process and ensure proper calculation, invoicing and recognition of costs and related revenues/fees on a timely basis.
  • Collaborate with project management team and client to resolve financial inquiries, explain variances, and provide strategic financial guidance on operational matters
  • Assist in development and managing of annual operating expense and capital plan budgets and rolling forecasts, working closely with PDS leadership and capital planning teams and clients to align financial projections with business objectives
  • Collaborate with PDS team to maintain and enhance financial models, reporting, analytics, and dashboards to support business leadership decision making and implement best practices related to various ad hoc analyses while ensuring compliance with JLL standards and client specifications
  • Demonstrate high level of customer service with business leadership and stakeholders
  • Participate in client meetings and presentations, effectively communicating financial performance and strategic recommendations to support client relationship management and business development efforts
  • Additional JLL Corporate accounting and financial reporting support as required

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with 3-5 years of progressive experience in financial management, preferably within real estate, property management, or related industry
  • Strong proficiency in accounting principles (GAAP) and advanced Excel skills, with experience in project accounting, financial modeling, pivot tables, and complex formulas for data analysis and reporting
  • Proven experience with financial reporting software and ERP systems, with preference for real estate management platforms such as Oracle E1, Corrigo, Adaptive Work, Ingenious, Tririga or similar property/project management systems; proficiency with PowerBI and Smartsheet
  • Proven track record of managing multiple complex projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple client relationships and competing priorities while maintaining high attention to detail and meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • A highly motivated self-starter who works well mentoring junior finance team members
  • Excellent financial, analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to interpret complex financial data and translate findings into clear, actionable business insights
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting financial information to diverse audiences including clients, senior management, and operational teams

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), Finance, or Accounting with emphasis on real estate or corporate finance
  • Previous experience in commercial real estate services, property management, or real estate investment management with understanding of industry-specific financial practices
  • Familiarity with real estate financial concepts including project accounting and allocation methodologies, capital expenditure and project expense planning
  • Experience with Power query and BI analytic tools a plus
  • Demonstrated experience in process improvement initiatives and system implementations that drive operational efficiency and enhance client service delivery
  • Strong project management skills with ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and mentor junior team members in financial analysis and reporting best practices

Estimated compensation for this position:
110,000.00 - 115,000.00 USD per year
This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
