Job description

Robert Half is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support a client with the evaluation, selection, and implementation of a new software solution. This role will coordinate multiple workstreams, manage third-party vendors, support the proposal and demo process, and help drive the project from evaluation through implementation and go-live.


Duration: 6-month contract

Schedule: Part-time, approximately 20 hours/week

Pay Rate: $75/hour


Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple concurrent projects and workstreams, ensuring teams, stakeholders, and vendors remain on schedule and continue progressing toward key milestones.
  • Coordinate the vendor evaluation and selection process, including reviewing proposals, scheduling vendor demonstrations, and tracking follow-up items.
  • Manage relationships with third-party software vendors, maintaining accountability around deliverables, timelines, dependencies, and project expectations.
  • Lead software implementation projects from planning and evaluation through implementation, testing, go-live, and production support.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, risks, dependencies, and status updates.
  • Assist with drafting and reviewing implementation proposals, project plans, and supporting documentation.
  • Coordinate internal technical and business teams to ensure implementation requirements and priorities are clearly understood.
  • Keep stakeholders informed of project progress, risks, blockers, and decisions requiring escalation.
  • Support implementation planning involving API integrations, OAuth, security controls, authentication, and other modern software integration requirements.
  • Coordinate go-live readiness activities and support the transition of implemented solutions into production.
  • Ensure projects align with applicable security, privacy, and compliance requirements, including HIPAA where applicable.
  • Proven Project Management experience leading software or enterprise system implementations.
  • Strong experience with vendor management and working directly with third-party software providers.
  • Experience managing projects through the full implementation lifecycle, including vendor evaluation, implementation planning, testing, go-live, and production support.
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects or workstreams in parallel.
  • Experience reviewing vendor proposals and coordinating software demonstrations and selection activities.
  • Familiarity with modern software implementations and technical concepts including APIs, system integrations, OAuth, authentication, and security controls.
  • Strong communication, organization, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to proactively drive projects forward and hold internal teams and external vendors accountable to commitments.

Preferred Experience

  • NEMT (Non-Emergency Medical Transportation) experience.
  • Transportation industry experience.
  • HIPAA compliance experience.
  • Healthcare technology or Healthcare Project Management experience.
  • Experience implementing software solutions within regulated or compliance-driven environments.
