This position is a customer-service oriented individual who provides frontline support for radiologists, technologists, and imaging operations. This role facilitates timely resolution of imaging related issues, rounds regularly at assigned hospitals, and serves as the first point of contact for imaging technology support (e.g. PACS, Epic, Powerscribe), including remote and after-hours support by phone, and may include remotely accessing devices to identify and resolve issues. Specialist(s) require a thorough understanding of the workflow processes and relationships between ancillary systems and RIS/PACS. This position includes the assurance of proper staff training, daily data and system maintenance, troubleshooting and disaster planning.

  • Associates Degree Required
  • Bachelors Degree Preferred
Work Experience
  • 3 years of healthcare experience, preferably in imaging or information systems department(s) Required
  • IT and/or technical expertise in PACS system(s) Preferred
  • Experience in imaging software and report writing and extensive training with medical IS applications Preferred
