Job Summary:
Beyond IT Support is an MSP committed to delivering top-notch IT support and solutions to local businesses. They are looking for a skilled Bench Technician to diagnose, repair, and refurbish IT equipment while maintaining detailed records and managing workspace inventory.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Diagnose, repair, and refurbish IT equipment including desktops, laptops, servers, and networking hardware
โ€ข Troubleshoot hardware issues quickly and accurately to minimize client downtime
โ€ข Assemble and prepare equipment for deployment or return to clients
โ€ข Maintain detailed records of repairs, parts used, and test results
โ€ข Manage and organize repair bench workspace and inventory of spare parts and tools
โ€ข Work closely with help desk and field technicians to support client needs and share technical insights
โ€ข Assist in configuring and testing equipment before itโ€™s delivered or deployed
โ€ข Stay up to date on the latest hardware technology and repair techniques relevant to MSP services
โ€ข Onsite work at Clients locations as needed. Including setups, pickups, drop-offs
โ€ข Manage incoming deliveries and inventory
โ€ข Improve customer service, perception, and satisfaction
โ€ข Fast turnaround of Customer Requests
โ€ข Ability to multi-task

โ€ข Responsible for entering all time and expenses in ConnectWise as they occur
โ€ข Enter all work as service tickets in ConnectWise
โ€ข Understand processes in ConnectWise by completing assigned training materials on the ConnectWise University
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข 3-5 years of solid experience as a Bench Technician or similar role within IT support or repair
โ€ข A Plus Certification
โ€ข Comfortable with a variety of IT hardware โ€” from desktops and laptops to networking devices and servers
โ€ข Detail-oriented and able to troubleshoot with patience and precision
โ€ข Able to handle multiple repair jobs efficiently in a fast-paced environment
โ€ข A good communicator who can work collaboratively with a small team and interface with clients when needed
โ€ข Reliable and proactive, taking ownership of your work from start to finish
โ€ข Advanced understanding of operating systems, business applications, printing systems, and network systems.
โ€ข Interpersonal skills: such as telephony skills, communication skills, active listening and customer-care. Diagnosis skills of technical issues.
โ€ข Travel to clientโ€™s locations as needed (Must have reliable transportation)
Preferred:
โ€ข Familiarity with MSP workflows, ticketing systems, or IT service management is a plus
