The Role: Network Infrastructure Supervisor

As a Network Infrastructure Supervisor, you will oversee day-to-day operations for the Network Infrastructure team and ensure consistent execution of installation, maintenance, and support activities across Switch environments. This role exists to maintain operational reliability, support customer expectations, and provide leadership during escalations and mission-critical events.

You will supervise technicians, coordinate operational priorities, and ensure infrastructure support activities are performed safely, accurately, and in alignment with Switch standards.

What Youll Do
  • Lead daily operations for the Network Infrastructure team

  • Act as the primary escalation point for urgent operational or customer issues

  • Supervise and support Network Infrastructure Technicians across assigned shifts and projects

  • Conduct performance evaluations, coaching, and corrective actions as needed

  • Ensure consistent execution of operational procedures and quality standards

  • Support scheduling and staffing coordination to meet operational demands

  • Monitor and report on operational metrics and team performance

  • Investigate and coordinate response to mission-critical alerts and incidents

  • Perform quality assurance reviews to ensure high service standards

  • Maintain operational awareness across all technician responsibilities and workflows

  • Support onboarding, technical coaching, and training efforts for team members

  • Ensure tools, equipment, and inventory are properly maintained and available

  • Partner with leadership to improve operational workflows and support processes

  • Support facility cleanliness and operational readiness standards within technical spaces

What Youll Bring

Required:

  • 2+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience

  • Background in network infrastructure, hardware support, or information technology operations

  • Experience troubleshooting hardware and connectivity issues in technical environments

  • Understanding of data center infrastructure, cabling standards, and operational practices

  • Familiarity with network topologies and hardware troubleshooting

  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • Experience using ticketing systems and operational monitoring platforms

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools

Preferred:

  • Associate degree in Technology, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience

  • Experience with terminal access tools (e.g., SSH, PuTTY)

  • Experience with network monitoring platforms (e.g., Syslog, Nagios)

  • Cisco or CompTIA certifications

Required Certifications (within defined timeframe):

  • CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or equivalent role-based training (within 12 months)

  • OSHA 30 (within 6 months)

  • Leadership training (within 12 months)
