Job Summary:
Landis+Gyr is a global leader in energy management solutions, operating in over 30 countries. The Network Engineer II is responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of the company's network engineering infrastructure, ensuring optimal connectivity and collaboration with cloud and operation teams.
Responsibilities:
• Installing, configuring, and maintaining all network engineering equipment.
• Configure, maintain, and document all network elements supporting customer connectivity.
• Maintain and troubleshoot WAN/LAN and Cloud network connectivity.
• Work in tandem with our operation and cloud teams to identify and implement the most optimal solutions for the company.
• Supports and adheres to Company’s core values.
• Performs other duties or responsibilities as assigned or required.
• Supports and adheres to Company’s Code of Conduct and Ethics Policy.
• Represents Company in a positive, professional manner when working with both internal and external customers.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's degree is in business or related field
• 6+ years of experience in Cisco, WAN/LAN, routing and switching network design and troubleshooting
• 6+ years of experience in Linux/Unix/Windows experience
• 6+ years of experience in Cloud networking configuration and troubleshooting
• 6+ years of experience in Network Load Balancer installation and management
• 6+ years of experience in Network Firewall installation and management
• 6+ years of experience with IP Address Management (IPAM) for IPv4 and IPv6
• 6+ years of experience with Change Management process and procedures
• 6+ years of experience with Technical Documentation - network drawings, and process/procedure
• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
Preferred:
• CCNA certification
• Associate Cloud Engineer or similar certification
• Personal computer knowledge
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
• Keyboard/typing skills
• Regular contact with employees, external customers, and/or industry contacts
