Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking a Direct Procurement Manager for a global, supply chain-led Ecommerce & Logistics Technology enterprise.
This is a high-impact, commercial leadership role within the international import business. You will be responsible for scaling the imported-product business by introducing global brands and large retailers to a fast-growing marketplace. This role owns the full P&L for assigned categories-specifically focusing on GMV, Profit, and Net Profit. This is an ideal seat for a resilient, data-driven negotiator who excels at building international supplier portfolios and securing the marketing resources necessary to dominate the "Sports & Outdoor" retail sector on a global scale.
Job Responsibilities
  • Brand & Retailer Acquisition: Introduce and operate global brands and large retailers to expand imported-product scale and capture international market share.
  • Commercial P&L Ownership: Take full accountability for daily GMV, profit, and net profit targets; implement rapid corrective actions to ensure margin protection.
  • Strategic Negotiation: Negotiate complex trading terms with global suppliers, securing cost support, co-marketing funds, and promotional resources.
  • Supplier Portfolio Management: Build and maintain a sophisticated supplier management system, including onboarding, performance assessment, and strategic replacement of underperformers.
  • Marketing Alignment: Secure and deploy supplier-funded marketing resources to drive visibility, conversion improvements, and revenue growth.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal Logistics, Marketing, and Compliance teams to align commercial plans with international trade regulations.
  • Market Intelligence: Continuously monitor global market trends and business sensitivity to identify rapid growth opportunities in lifestyle and outdoor categories.

Requirements
Education & Category Expertise
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) is REQUIRED.
  • Mandatory Category Experience: Proven expertise in Golf, Fishing Gear, Outdoor Sports, or adjacent lifestyle categories.
Experience
  • Minimum of five (5) or more years of experience in Retail, FMCG, or Import/Export Trade.
  • Strong track record of introducing and scaling brand partnerships across international markets.
  • Experience working with major e-commerce marketplaces or large-scale retailers (Cross-border experience is highly preferred).
  • Proven ability to build supplier assessment frameworks and compliance protocols.
Technical Skills & Attributes
  • Commercial Negotiation: Expert-level ability to agree on trading terms and secure supplier cost support.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Comfort managing core KPIs (GMV, Profit) in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Global Mobility: Willingness to be based at an overseas duty station (outside China) and travel internationally as required.
