Despite the remote nature of the role, you will be part of an enthusiastic and supportive integrated care team, participating in regular meetings through virtual platforms to discuss patient cases, treatment strategies, and holistic approaches to care.

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to identify the psychological impact of patients' medical conditions, incorporating their history and context into the evaluation.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that integrate evidence-based therapeutic modalities addressing both psychiatric and medical needs.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, adapting techniques to meet the diverse needs of patients, ensuring a safe and open environment for expression.
• Work in tandem with physicians and nurses to create coordinated care plans that enhance patient health outcomes and effectively manage comorbid conditions.
• Provide crisis intervention services when needed, ensuring immediate support during mental health emergencies, and developing safety plans for high-risk patients.
• Educate patients on the interconnectedness of mental and physical health, utilizing resources and tools that empower them to take charge of their wellbeing.
• Maintain precise and confidential records using electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and best practices.
• Engage in team meetings, case studies, and ongoing professional development activities to stay current with emerging trends in integrated mental health care.

The primary clientele includes individuals struggling with co-occurring disorders who often present with complex medical and psychological challenges, such as chronic pain and substance abuse issues. By engaging with this patient population, you will be on the front lines of mental health innovation, enhancing your skills in integrated care and fostering a community of recovery and resilience.

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• A valid and current licensure as an LCMFT, LCP, or LCSW in Kansas is mandatory.
• Proven ability to navigate the complexities of mental health issues in patients with medical comorbidities, demonstrating skills in both individual and group therapeutic settings.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and foster a supportive patient environment.
• Proficient in maintaining professional boundaries, demonstrating adherence to ethical guidelines, and ensuring patient confidentiality at all times.
• Familiarity with utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant computer applications to enhance workflow efficiency.

• At least two years of experience in providing mental health counseling in a healthcare setting, preferably with integrated care.
• Demonstrated success in working collaboratively with medical providers and stakeholders to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Experience in crisis intervention and management would be advantageous.
