Position Overview
Price Benowitz LLP is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Claims Verification Paralegal to support our Personal Injury team in our Washington, D.C. This remote position plays a critical role in the early stages of case evaluation by verifying insurance coverage, confirming medical provider information, and ensuring that all necessary documentation is obtained to support a claim. The ideal candidate is organized, resourceful, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.  While this position is remote, preference will be given to candidates located in the DMV region.
Key Responsibilities
  • Verify insurance coverage and policy limits with relevant carriers.
  • Confirm healthcare provider details and gather treatment information.
  • Obtain supporting documentation such as medical records, bills, incident reports, and insurance correspondence.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, insurance adjusters, and medical providers to facilitate timely and accurate information gathering.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the firm’s case management system.
  • Flag discrepancies or missing data for attorney review.
  • Collaborate closely with intake and litigation teams to ensure a smooth transition from claim evaluation to case development.
  • Perform additional duties and administrative tasks as needed to support the team.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of paralegal, claims processing, or insurance-related experience (personal injury experience strongly preferred).
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Professional and effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management software.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
  • Strong work ethic and the ability to meet deadlines in a high-volume environment.

Work Environment
  • Remote (DMV candidates preferred)
  • Standard hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
