This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from home or location of record within the U.S. with no in-office requirements. You must be available five days per week during designated work hours. The work arrangement for this role is subject to change based on business needs and individual performance. This may include adjustments to on-site requirements or schedule expectations, as necessary.
Position Overview
This role is responsible for implementing and supporting virtualization, compute, and storage systems, including SAN environments. The position focuses on the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of infrastructure components, as well as performing software upgrades and ongoing system support. It also contributes to the design and deployment of highly available virtualization, compute, and storage solutions, while ensuring incidents are resolved in a timely manner.
Success in this role requires hands-on experience with on-premises datacenter environments, compute platforms, SAN and storage technologies, infrastructure as code (IaC), and system reliability. The ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders is essential.
Primary Responsibilities

• Contribute to medium to large infrastructure projects, working with senior engineers and above, providing input on technical implementation.
• Implement, administer, and maintain geographically distributed on-premises datacenter infrastructure to support availability, scalability, and performance in a SaaS environment.
• Prepare and execute planned infrastructure changes and assist in communicating updates to stakeholders to minimize service disruption.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including product and engineering) to implement infrastructure solutions that support the SaaS service catalog.
• Work with development teams to improve infrastructure performance, support automation efforts, and enable scalable solutions aligned with CI/CD pipelines.
• Monitor infrastructure health using alerting and monitoring tools, identifying and resolving issues proactively.
• Support data integrity efforts within SaaS platforms by following established validation, testing, and data management practices.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort, with a focus on infrastructure as code (IaC).
• Participate in peer reviews of automation and configuration changes for upgrade/deployment of systems and to improve reliability and consistency.
• Participate in on-call rotation, responding to infrastructure incidents, and performing maintenance as required.
• Assist with capacity planning for physical and virtual infrastructure components.
• Familiar with supporting and utilizing monitoring and alerting systems such as Datadog, Nagios, Pagerduty.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 3-5+ years of experience in systems implementation and support in complex, high-performance environments
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across teams
• Experience working within enterprise architecture and software development lifecycle frameworks
• Ability to support proof-of-concept activities and technical evaluations
• Strong working knowledge of converged compute platforms (Cisco UCS, HPE Synergy, Dell PowerEdge MX)
• Solid understanding of Fiber Channel SAN environments (MDS), including zoning and troubleshooting
• Ability to troubleshoot networking across OSI layers
• Experience with infrastructure monitoring and alerting systems
• Experience with automation and scripting (PowerShell, REST APIs, Ansible )
• Strong working knowledge of VMware technologies (vSphere, ESXi)
• Experience with enterprise block storage platforms (e.g., Pure FlashArray, Dell EMC PowerMax)

The base pay range for this position is $84k - $120k/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position offers a full range of benefits outlined here .
