Baer is looking for Senior MECM Windows Infrastructure Engineer for a 4+ month remote project.

Alignment: W2 or C2C
Overview
We are seeking a Senior MECM / Windows Infrastructure Engineer to join our Platform Operations team. This role is responsible for managing enterprise patching, MECM/SCCM administration, Windows infrastructure support, and remediation activities across a large-scale production environment. The ideal candidate has strong experience with Windows systems, patch management, automation, troubleshooting, and operational support.
Description:
  • Administer and maintain MECM/SCCM infrastructure and patch management processes.
  • Manage Software Update Points (SUP), Automatic Deployment Rules (ADR), collections, deployment packages, and maintenance windows.
  • Execute, monitor, and troubleshoot monthly patch deployments for servers and workstations.
  • Resolve deployment failures, client health issues, and compliance-related problems.
  • Support deployment rings, rollback activities, and operational validation.
  • Assist with modernization efforts, including migration of legacy automation workflows.
  • Collaborate with automation, security, infrastructure, and application teams to improve operational efficiency.
  • Support incident, problem, change, and request management processes.
  • Maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and configuration standards.
  • Participate in vulnerability remediation initiatives and ensure compliance with enterprise SLAs.
  • Provide after-hours support and participate in on-call rotations as needed.

Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience administering MECM SCCM in enterprise environments.
  • 5+ years of Windows Server administration experience (2016, 2019, and 2022).
  • Strong experience with enterprise patch management and remediation processes.
  • Advanced PowerShell scripting and automation skills.
  • Experience troubleshooting Windows patching, deployment, and infrastructure issues.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and enterprise systems administration.
  • Familiarity with phased deployments, deployment rings, and client health management.
  • Strong networking fundamentals and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as SCOM, Splunk, Azure Monitor, or similar.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Preferred certifications: Microsoft Certifications (Windows Server, Azure Administrator), MECM/SCCM Certifications, ITIL Foundation and CompTIA Server+
  • Bachelor's Degree
