What you'll doResponsibilities
  • Work with a team of talented engineers and product managers to drive growth, solve user problems, and deliver operational excellence. 
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across disciplines, time zones, and across the company to achieve the best outcomes for our users. 
  • Build the plans, rhythm, and support for your team to deliver its best work. 
  • Contribute to the broader Tax Engineering organization through technical leadership, process and tooling improvements. 
  • Lead, coach, retain, and recruit engineers on the team. 
  • Contribute to engineering-wide initiatives as a member of Stripe's engineering management team.
Who you areMinimum requirements

Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, plus ten (10) years of experience in Software Engineering, of which, at least 5 years must be post bachelor's progressive experience.

Must have five (5) years of experience with/in:

  • Managing, building and leading engineering teams delivering software products;
  • Applying hands-on technical expertise at scale to guide architecture and technical strategy resolutions in collaboration with staff engineers;
  • Designing, delivering, and operating business critical services at scale;
  • User-facing product, front-end and back-end services, scaling database systems, and API design on a team of 4- 8 engineers;
  • Designing and building services in monolithic and multi service architectures; and
  • Devops and operational ownership, from standing up observability posture through managing and iterating on operational rigor and on call health.

Salary: $274,456 - $321,800/yr.

This salary range represents the base salary range for the role and any sales commissions/sales bonuses targets, if applicable, would be in addition to the base salary.

40 hrs/week

100% Telecommuting permitted.

Multiple Positions Available.
