Who You Are

A Jolera Project Manager acts as an ambassador on behalf of Jolera, ensuring customer satisfaction through the effective, profitable, and consistent delivery of projects.

Our Project Managers plan, organize, schedule, direct, execute, maintain, and troubleshoot projects, enabling project completion on time, within budget, and according to scope. They also manage relationships across all project phases while serving as its liaison to stakeholders.

What You’ll Do
  • Translate scope requirements to project plan with appropriate project documents.
  • Direct and manage project delivery through entire project lifecycle.
  • Ensure the timeliness and quality of project deliverables.
  • Proactively manage scope, schedule, and budget including all milestones and deliverables.
  • Proactively identify and manage issues and risk, with appropriate escalation as required.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
  • Determine and assess need for additional project resources during project lifecycle.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
  • Identify and continually manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, requirements documentation, and presentations.
  • Effectively communicate with team members and stakeholders with professionalism.
  • Ensure internal systems are kept up to date including project status and resource hours.
  • Forecasting probability of meeting milestone dates.
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.

Qualifications:
  • University degree, college diploma or demonstrable experience in the field of Information Technology.
  • Minimum 5 years of direct experience in managing infrastructure projects including scope, schedule, and budget through entire project lifecycle
  • Current project management certification: Project Management Professional (PMP) or Projects in Controlled Environments (PRINCE2).
  • Minimum intermediate level knowledge using MS Office tools including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and some form of a project management tool such as MS Project.
  • Experience in distributed deployment projects including hardware and software implementations across multiple buildings, regions, and time zones.
  • Experience working in a collaborative environment, preferably for an IT consulting firm.
  • Competent and proficient understanding of virtualization and networking technologies.
  • Strong ability to translate scope described in a Statement of Work to prioritized project activities including required skillsets to complete this scope.
  • Adept at conducting research into project-related issues and products.
  • Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.
  • Strong understanding of the strategic elements of managing projects, always working with an appropriate sense of urgency.
  • Experience managing priorities across multiple projects at the same time.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients located globally, with varying communication styles from a broad spectrum of disciplines.
  • Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources at varying levels internally and within client’s environment.
